Race Reports by Don Gillmore
The Deep Cove race was enjoyable and our group (40s) worked in a fairly well organized fashion to catch up with the older riders, with me doing the lion's share of the work, but our group didn't catch the two leaders of the 60s group. I left our group at the bottom of the last hill sprinting, passed a car stuck behind the 30s and went through the group of 30s (yes, we caught them) then whizzed by one of the 60s riders just before the line, all this in the space of about 300m but the lead rider was about 40 meters up the road that I didn't catch. Quite a busy finish - I didn't even know the 60s were right there until the finish!
