Race Reports by Chris Anstey

Just a short note to let you all know that last weekend was Burnaby Velodrome’s May Day’s race weekend.
I competed in the “B” endurance omnium and finished in the top 10. The actual place may change as there is an error on the spread sheet. The second Kelo was a Wheel Race (handy cap) and as my firs Kelo stank I got a very good start location and managed to finish with about 10m lead. That was my best result and the compilation missed or gave the result to another. Not to worry though. The racing was tough and fun.

This weekend capped a junior training camp off and with some very fast youth out from Ontario’s Forest City Velodrome we all had a good week end of racing. There were up to six races in a day including the Madison. My partner Andy George fell in the last race however he is in good shape now with only minor road rash and no splinters. He was going to slow in the corner waiting for the exchange. His pride will be bruised for some time.

Keep riding and racing.
